Synopsis

This was a locally owned pest control company in Jacksonville, FL that wanted to improve its visibility in AI-generated search results and attract more high-intent local leads.

 

Goal

Increase GEO-driven visibility and awareness by improving presence in Google AI Overviews and other generative search results.

 

Action Plan

In 2025, we implemented a GEO-focused optimization strategy to improve how AI systems interpret and reference the company’s services. This included creating localized, seasonal pest control content aligned with natural-language search behavior, structuring pages with concise answers to common “how-to” and “cost” questions, strengthening E-E-A-T through team profiles and real project examples, and implementing article and service schema to support enhanced AI indexing and recognition.

 

Outcome

On December 2025:

  • +4 new queries appearing in Google AI Overviews
  • 20.51% increase in organic traffic driven

 

These results demonstrate increased alignment between the website’s content and AI-driven local search intent.

 

While AI Overviews do not always result in a direct click, increased visibility at the answer level improves brand recognition and trust during high-intent decision moments.
